Film Screening (Activity 3): We Get off at the Next Stop (Romania, 2018)

National College ‘’Octavian Goga’’, Sibiu (RO)

The Romanian inspirational movie We get off at the next stop is about a few people who got stuck in a rail-car during a subway trip. For more than one hour the characters, who are people with different backgrounds and have different life styles and convictions, begin to know one another and see themselves, as they are and not as they want to think they are, behind the appearances.

It’s the moment of truth, revealing their lives as they are and not as they want to see themselves.

The action takes place a day after the tragedy of the Club Collective, when many young people were burned alive in Bucarest, a tragedy which has affected the whole Romanian nation and not only, by bringing sorrow and tears.

The movie has been produced in 2018 by the director Tedy Necula.
The director shows through the movie that after tragedies, we have survived as nation with Intelligence, Humor, Communication, Excellence and Friendship.
It’s a movie about RESISTANCE, no matter what!
