Aline Sierp (Maastricht Uni) was the E-WORDS herald during the conference in her presentation ‘Memory Sits in Places: The Case of the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site‘, in the section ‘Sites between History and Memory’, on Oct 4th.
Aline Sierp stressed the importance of Europe for Citizens Program in the field of Remembrance and the impact of projects, such as E-WORDS, to keep alive in all citizens (but especially the young generation) the knowledge and awareness of genocide and concentration camps, not to repeat the mistakes of the past.
